From 1998, I am a regular contributor to the best soccer statistics website: RSSSF (founded 1994).

Long before Wikipedia, RSSSF functioned on the principle of volunteer contributors to collect complete and reliable information on soccer leagues, competitions, and players from all around the world from the beginnings of organized soccer.
The information is freely available to anyone.

RSSSF now covers the top leagues from possibly every independent federation in the world, whether affiliated to FIFA or not. Interested in the third division of Gozo in the 1963 season?
Xewkija Rovers finished second from bottom that year.
