Pre-Service Teacher Annual National
Conference, February 14-16, 2008, Hilton Alexandria
Mark Center, Alexandria, VA
On behalf of the Pre-Service Teacher
Conference Committee, thank you for making our
12th Annual Conference a memorable
experience. We hosted over 500 people on opening
night, which included over 350 students and
faculty registered from over 50 institutions. We
offered more than 60 workshops and had approximately 30 Career
Fair participants. Our five outstanding guest
speakers represented diverse backgrounds and
careers, provided inspirational messages, and
re-affirmed the importance of the education
profession.
For 2007-2008, NASA's partners are the
National Institute of Aerospace (NIA), which
serves as NASA's administrator for the
Pre-Service Teacher Program, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
NASA and its partners are unequivocally
committed to and united in efforts to improve and
provide our pre-service teachers with
far-ranging skills and opportunities that will
enhance their competence and confidence in
teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
We are delighted to announce that the 13th
Annual National Conference is shaping up to be
another spectacular event. Our new motto is Shaping the Future: Launching New Endeavors to Inspire the Next Generation of Explorers. The conference is tentatively scheduled for February 14-16, 2008 at the Hilton
